Overview

In an industry where miscommunication not only means several millions lost in tools and materials, but also critical injuries, Argus steps in with its cutting-edge PPE, synced up to a site-wide management and communications platform, to unify the process.

With a projected 35% decrease to workplace casualties, Argus enhances safety and enriches the lives and working quality of everyone involved in construction procedures, from labor, to management and the project owners.

Working as a product designer and brand strategist for the team, I established the information architecture for the companion application, as well as UX writing and Market integration strategies for our product.

Design Process

01

Research

Conducted field research with construction workers, site managers, and safety officers across 8 active construction sites to understand pain points in communication and PPE usage.

02

Define

Synthesized research into key insights: language barriers, delayed hazard alerts, and disconnected training were the top 3 causes of preventable incidents.

03

Design

Built a modular companion app ecosystem with real-time multilingual alerts, wearable integration, and site-wide dashboards for managers.

04

Validate

Prototype tested with 12 construction workers across different experience levels. Iterated on alert hierarchy and navigation flows 3 times.
